As we welcome a new year, January is a time of fresh beginnings, renewed energy, and reflection on what makes La Quinta such a special place to live, work, and do business. 

The start of the year brings a noticeable sense of momentum throughout our city. Seasonal residents have returned, our local businesses are bustling, and our community calendar is already filling with events, activities, and opportunities to connect. This vibrant energy is a direct reflection of the entrepreneurs, small business owners, home-based businesses, and professionals who work every day to keep La Quinta thriving. 

La Quinta’s business landscape continues to evolve and diversify, blending well-known national brands with exciting locally owned concepts, particularly along the Highway 111 corridor. In 2025 alone, we have welcomed new businesses such as Chick-fil-A, Daiso, The Golf Bar, Kitchen Ten Eleven, Kiki’s La Quinta, DSRT CLUB, Dunkin’, Quick Quack Car Wash, Five Below, and PGA TOUR Superstore, just to name a few. These additions enhance our local economy, create jobs, and provide residents and visitors with even more reasons to shop, dine, and spend time in our city. 

Looking ahead, our signature events continue to showcase La Quinta on a regional and international stage. The upcoming The American Express PGA Golf Tournament brings global attention, visitors, and significant economic impact to our valley, while the La Quinta Car Show in February highlights our community’s unique character and creativity, drawing residents and visitors together in Old Town for a truly special experience. Events like these not only celebrate our lifestyle but also provide meaningful opportunities for local businesses to shine. 

One of our goals as a Chamber in the coming year is to continue strengthening connections across our business community. Whether you operate a storefront, a service business, or work from home, each of you plays an important role in our local economy. Supporting one another, collaborating, and keeping business local helps ensure long-term success for everyone. 

January also reminds us of the importance of planning and progress. The Chamber will continue advocating for a strong business climate, supporting community events, and working closely with city leadership to ensure La Quinta remains a place where businesses can grow and families can flourish. From networking mixers to educational programs and community initiatives, we are committed to delivering value to our members throughout the year.
